Brunson Performance Part # AD-003 FE Engine blocks earlier than 1965 (including early center oiler and 406 blocks), were void of the two front mounting bosses which makes utilizing them in many 1965 and newer platforms difficult. Brunson Performance motor mount adapters offer a simple solution by utilizing the two mount bosses to attach 3/16” laser cut steel plates with XH grade 5 nuts TIG welded in the locations of the bosses in later model blocks. Left-hand and right-hand plates are countersunk at the lower bolt location and grade 8 flat head socket cap screws (included) are used in order to avoid interference with the vehicle’s motor mount back plate. The adaptors sell as a left-hand and right-hand set, you will need (1) part # AD-003 per engine application. Note: a chamfer bit will likely be needed to relieve the block mounting holes.
